IS THIS BODY MY HOME?
Spring 2019

Through my film, I explore humanity’s relationship with the idea of Mother Earth in connection to our relationship with women. As we abuse the earth’s resources for profit, we treat it as something to be used instead of something to take care of and nurture. The objectification of our earth mirrors the objectification of women. We see the culmination of this with global warming perpetuated by unregulated corporate greed, violence against women, growing incel groups, Neo-Nazis, high male suicide rates, immigration law enforcement, and social and justice systems that treat people of color as objects. I want to draw attention to the broken systems that perpetuate objectification as they affect everyone negatively.
